I love to read! And I love getting suggestions from friends and family telling me what to read next! This website, goodreads, is a great way to keep track of books you've read, books you want to read, and the books that your friends and family members are currently reading. I always print off my "To Read" list before I head over to the local library. It makes it so much easier to find what I'm looking for! I have also used it to reserve a stack of books before I go. I love that it is a free service, and another fun thing is that you can enter book giveaways and get free books! It's just an all-around great website. Check it out!

The staff of MSL (Martha Stewart Living) is obviously a highly organized and creative group of people. I love seeing how they do things, and the behind the scenes workings of how they organize their workrooms is always inspiring. Here's a little photo spread of how they organized their craft area when they moved offices. Check out their good ideas - I love how they wrapped their ribbon on cardboard strips! A great way to recycle using leftover cardboard!

This is by far one of the best scripture journal ideas I have found! The author takes a blank, unlined journal and then adds a gospel topic at the top of every page. Then, when she finds something that applies to that topic, she adds it to that page. If she wants to do an in-depth study, she turns to that page and writes down what she learns. She leaves a few blank pages at the front for an index/table of contents, and adds conference talks that she has resized to fit in the books. I love this and I love that her goal is to be able to leave one book and one set of marked scriptures for each of her children! What a fantastic gift! Now you know what I will be working on each day!
Family Home Evening Ideas
I was looking for some fresh new approaches to our Family Home Evenings each Monday and found quite a few that were really put together well. So instead of just one link, I've included the ones that I like. I didn't put lds.org here, but that is definitely a great place to search for ideas. Here are the rest!

|Ballard Designs "Knock Off"|
I love to thumb through the new catalogs when they arrive - Pottery Barn, Ballard Designs, Restoration Hardware, etc. They always have such fun ideas and fantastic decorating ideas, but the prices are often not what I like. That's what I like about finding creative ideas on the web - other creative minds can take these great ideas and make them for a fraction of the cost while keeping them cute! Check out the great creative minds and ideas at this site!
This great idea was sent to me today and I just had to share it! There are so many possibilities with this. I love how you could put everything from ticket stubs to photos in one accessible spot and in a see-through jar. I also love that you could do a jar of just the things you find in pockets while you do the laundry! It would definitely provide a fun look back at the end of the year. This reminds me of a collage - in fact, you could do this same thing with a glass covered shadow box and pin things to the back. Any way you choose to do it, I think this is one good idea! Check out the photos and Kelli's ideas on her blog! (She blogged about it near the end of December 2010.)

This book will be out later this Spring and I can hardly wait for it! If you know Mary, then you know how absolutely fabulous this book will be. I am definitely preordering it for myself and a few others!
If you want an autographed copy, I could arrange that. Let me know! :)
* Blend leftover fruit in the blender, pour into ice cube trays, and freeze for later use in smoothies.
* Baker's Joy - use to spray baking pans; like Pam but has the flour already included in it
* Hydrogen Peroxide - great for all sorts of disinfecting, blood removal from carpets; mix 50/50 with water in spray bottles
* Plant bulbs using a "bulb tool" on the end of a drill - a quicker way to plant them!
* Make a telephone "Quick List" of all numbers called frequently; copy and place it in front of all phone books for quick reference.
* Organize recipes at http://www.livingcookbook.com/
* At Christmas, give homemade gifts to extended family members - cookie dough, knit, embroidery, woodworking, etc. Fun idea!
* Make important books for children to help them prepare for big events in life - baptism, priesthood ordination, missionary service, etc. You could personalize them with family information (photo of you at baptism, missionary photo, etc.).
* For outdoor parking during snow storms, place a tarp over windshield and secure at corners with magnets.
Here is a quick list of the coupon sites that you should check frequently! Just bookmark them on your computer - make a file under your Favorites for it and then they are all there where you can find them!
http://www.pgeverydaysolutions.com/ (proctor and gamble products, coupons, rebate info. etc.)
http://www.krazycouponlady.com/ (best for finding out about free items at Target, Walgreen's, Rite Aid, etc.)
Hope these come in handy for you!
